Construction and dimensional compatibility

The fixed backset of 25 mm is measured horizontally from the door-edge faceplate to the cylinder centre axis; it is not the overall case depth. A 15.5 mm-thick case with a 22 × 3 mm stainless-steel faceplate, using latch-and-bolt construction; Centre distance 92 mm, Latch adjustment 11–17 mm.

The latch or roller adjustment range is different from the fixed backset; the roller version differs from a construction in which a handle retracts the latch. Check the cylinder and optional extension rods separately against the door construction.

Also check the installation space inside the door leaf, strike position and plates on both sides. An identical fixed backset does not make different constructions directly interchangeable.
