Clearance and hasp compatibility

This model has shackle clearance C=17 mm, L=17 mm, and shackle diameter D=5 mm; Body width A=30 mm, thickness S=14.5 mm.

C is the clear width between the inner sides of the shackle, and L is the clear height beneath it; D describes the shackle bar diameter. Hasp hole diameter and spacing are different constraints; sufficient clear height alone does not establish that the shackle can pass through.

Keys, materials and construction scope

Marine Type locks both sides of the shackle and lists a bolt anti-tamper device and chrome-plated brass protection plate. The Marine name and stainless steel material do not establish suitability for underwater use or a salt-spray test duration.

Limitations

  • Catalogue dimensions are for preliminary selection; Product outline, opening clearance and supplied configuration follow the manufacturer's instructions for the corresponding model.
  • The original diagram explains only the three measurement directions C, L and D; it does not show the actual lock-body outline, scale or protection grade.
