Applications and product construction

Gate Lock is intended for 23–40 mm metal swing doors and uses a 40 mm-thick interior assembly. RM2 offers PIN, Bluetooth and RFID access; RM2F adds fingerprint recognition on the same construction, for use alongside an inner residential door lock.

Installation compatibility

Measure metal door thickness and the gap to the inner door, then check whether the 76 × 196 × 40 mm interior assembly interferes with either door's movement. Frame hardware also needs a reliable fixing surface; door thickness alone does not establish suitability.

Selection comparison

The key difference between RM2 and RM2F is fingerprint access: only RM2F supports it, with capacity 100. If users mainly use PINs or cards, select by access needs rather than treating the configurations as differently sized locks. Exit operation should also account for habits involving Bluetooth, Key Fob or mechanical keys.

Limitations

• The manufacturer states availability only in Singapore and recommends sheltered installation.
• Use RFID tags or stickers supplied by the manufacturer. RM2F fingerprint capability must not be attributed to RM2.
