Functions and applications

Rim Lock for Wooden Doors is a smart surface-mounted lock for 25–60 mm wooden doors, with a horizontal interior lock case. It offers PIN, Bluetooth and RFID access, with a multifunction button or thumbturn for exit.

Installation and compatibility checks

Besides door thickness, check whether the interior can accommodate the lock case measuring 166 mm wide and 47 mm deep, and whether the frame has a suitable strike fixing surface. Existing handles, door stops and mouldings must not intrude into the mounting area.

Selection comparison

Compared with lever Mortise models, this model has a different interior lock case. Shared unlocking methods do not establish a common drilling template. It also differs from Rim models for metal or glass doors.

Limitations

• Assess only within the wooden swing-door range. The manufacturer recommends sheltered installation, and RFID supports only specified cards and tags.
