Knob-side and key-side differences

The round knob is on side C in the catalogue drawing. Site records should identify which side faces indoors and check knob-turning clearance from the handle and frame. Swapping side lengths changes knob and key positions; overall length alone is insufficient.

This R ME page describes up to 13 coding-pin positions, including one patented cylinder element. This count describes the series construction and does not mean every cylinder uses exactly 13 independent key cuts.

This page also explicitly specifies stainless-steel driver pins, a 30° DIN cam and anti-drill devices at both ends of the cylinder housing and rotor (manufacturer's description). Check the key system, cam and mechanical interface separately when selecting replacements.

Basic configuration and complete order code

The catalogue Basic configuration line states 30+30, with wildcard code 8*T*8******..*. This identifies the construction's basic dimensions and code range; asterisks indicate options requiring further selection.

C and D are measured from the fixing screw centre to each end. Even when the basic configuration has equal sides, record cylinder protectors, trim plates and operating clearance on both sides of the door.

When requesting a quotation, provide the series, operating construction, required C/D, interface and key-system requirements together. Have the manufacturer confirm the complete code and final installation drawing.
